B'wood: Women centric movies


There are host of Bollywood flicks with women as a lead part to play. But only few of them describe the plight of the women in a courageous way. Lets have a look at the importance of women in Hindi cinema.

Girlfriend: The movie has a lesbian angle to it and portrays a strong subject that society is not going to accept.It also speaks about women asserting rightto her choices.

Mother India: It shed the light on age old conventions but at the same time honor of women is presented beautifully through this movie and the megastar Nargis.The movie depended more on heavy gestures rather than dialogues.
